Storyline:
In 1865, the American Civil War winds toward an inevitable conclusion, U.S. President Abraham Lincoln's efforts to achieve passage of the landmark constitutional amendment to forever ban slavery from the United States. However, the task is a race against time, for peace can come at any time, and if it is new amendments are passed, the southern states would stop again before it can become law.
