At the age of nine, Abraham Lincoln witnesses his mother was killed by a vampire, Jack Barts. About 10 years later, he successfully sought to eliminate Barts, but in the process makes the acquaintance of Henry Sturgess who taught him how to fight and what it takes to kill a vampire. The consideration is that Abe will kill every vampire Henry directs him. Abe moved to Springfield where she got a job as a store clerk while he studied law and kill vampires at night. He met and married Mary Todd lovely. Years later as President of the United States, he came to realize that vampires fought with Confederate forces.
